Fish Fatmeter

The Distell Fish Fatmeter was developed in response to demand from various customers for a meter that could measure lipid content of fish products simply and non-destructively.

The Distell Fish Fatmeter  comes in two models, FFM-692 and FFM-992. The FFM-992 has a small sensor head for small fish and the FFM-692 has a large sensor head for larger fish.

The meters are all portable and battery powered, and you can expect to get at least a full day’s operation on a single charge. They are sealed to IP65 standard before leaving our workshops and are safe for use on food. The simple two-button interface means they are easy to use, and the robust casing ensures that they can withstand the harsh environments in which our customers operate.

Fish Freshness Meter

The freshness meter was developed to satisfy a requirement for an objective method of evaluating the ‘quality’ of wet fish, and to provide an estimation of the ‘relative’ freshness of fish landed at ports for the retail sales and processing industries to judge the remaining shelf life of a particular shipment of fish.

Distell’s Torrymeter Fish Freshness Meter enables the operator to assess the quality and freshness of wet fish simply and easily. The hand-held instrument is simply placed in contact with the fish, a button is pressed, and the freshness level of the fish is displayed on the LCD display.
