The MINISCAN IR LOG is a highly versatile and extremely fast FTIR analyzer, designed for on-site condition monitoring of oils and greases. It is also capable of measuring low or high levels of water in oil accurately and quickly without using hazardous reagents.

Cost Saving
A condition monitoring apparatus is a hard-dollar saving investment, if the analyzer allows to check lube oil and grease quality directly on-site. It enables timely and accurate response to oil degradation. If oil and grease condition is not monitored continuously, additional costs are inevitable: the failure to predict oil degradation leads to engine-repair expenditures that can easily sum up to several hundred thousand dollars per year. An equal amount of costs can accumulate, if expensive oils and greases are changed too early.



The MINISCAN IR VISION is a high speed, compact and robust FTIR fuel analyzer for the comprehensive and automatic measurement of gasoline, jet and diesel fuels. The analyzer is configured to measure more than 100 fuel parameters and components for fuel blending, for quality inspection and to check compliance with fuel specifications directly at the point of sale.

Compound Analysis is performed according to the international standards ASTM D5845 for oxygenates, ASTM D6277 and EN 238 for Benzene and EN 14078 for Biodiesel blends. A built-in temperature regulated density meter allows for exact determination and stability of fuel density. Octane and Cetane Number, Distillation, Vapor Pressure and other fuel properties are automatically determined from the full IR spectrum using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis and advanced chemometric models following ASTM E1655. Several thousand data points are used to achieve best prediction accuracy.

ParaFuelTM NIR analyze


The ParaFuelTManalyzer compliments Grabner Instruments’ product line of highly innovative, fully automated and portable instrumentation. It has proven especially useful for monitoring petrochemical and refining processes. The instrument provides non-destructive, real-time in-line analysis of Diesel, Gasoline, Jet Fuel, Kerosene, Crude Oil, Biofuels, Blended Fuels and Petrochemicals for a wide range of critical properties. The analyzer is using simple and robust in-line tip-probes, that can be easily installed in refineries, pipelines or terminals. In addition, a multiplexer allows to channel measurement data from up to 20 different process points to one ParaFuelTM analyzer. For laboratory use, a benchtop version is also available.
